About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Petroleum Engineer specializing in Production Optimization to join their team in Reading . This role is focused on maximizing the output and efficiency of existing oil and gas wells. You will analyze production data, diagnose issues, and implement strategies for artificial lift, enhanced oil recovery (EOR), and overall well performance improvement. This is an excellent opportunity to apply technical expertise in a critical function for the Oil & Gas industry .
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze production data from wells and facilities to identify performance issues and opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies for artificial lift systems (e.g., ESPs, rod pumps, gas lift).
- Evaluate and propose Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) techniques and other production enhancement methods.
- Conduct well performance modeling and decline curve analysis.
- Troubleshoot production problems and provide technical solutions to field operations.
- Collaborate with reservoir engineers, geologists, and facility engineers to ensure integrated field development and production strategies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in production engineering or petroleum engineering within the Oil & Gas sector .
- Strong understanding of wellbore hydraulics, fluid flow, and thermodynamics.
- Proficiency with production analysis software and well performance modeling tools .
- Experience with various artificial lift systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with EOR methods and production optimization techniques.
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
