Our client is seeking a highly experienced Remote Senior Process Optimization Engineer to drive significant improvements in efficiency and performance across their global operations, providing expertise to teams potentially including those near Reading . This role focuses on analyzing complex process data, identifying bottlenecks, and developing strategic solutions from a remote setting. You will leverage advanced analytical techniques and your deep understanding of chemical processes to deliver measurable results, working in a fully remote, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets from plant operations to identify opportunities for process optimization.
• Develop and implement data-driven strategies to improve yield, reduce waste, and lower operational costs.
• Utilize advanced modeling and simulation techniques to predict process behavior and test optimization scenarios.
• Collaborate virtually with site engineers and plant managers to implement and monitor optimization initiatives.
• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting mechanisms to track progress and measure success.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices in process optimization.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related quantitative field.
• 8+ years of experience in process engineering, with a strong focus on optimization and data analysis.
• Proficiency in process simulation software and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB).
• Deep understanding of chemical process dynamics , control strategies, and optimization methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead complex optimization projects in a remote setting.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
