About the Role
Our client is looking for a strategic and results-oriented Pharmaceutical Business Development Manager to drive growth and forge new partnerships in the Bristol area. This role is pivotal in identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, including potential acquisitions, licensing deals, and strategic alliances within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. You will leverage your market knowledge and strong negotiation skills to build and maintain relationships with key industry players. Key Responsibilities
- Identify and assess potential strategic partners, licensing opportunities, and acquisition targets.
- Conduct market analysis, competitive intelligence, and feasibility studies to support business development initiatives.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve company growth objectives.
- Lead negotiations for partnership agreements, licensing deals, and M&A activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, investors, and industry leaders.
- Prepare and present business cases, proposals, and recommendations to senior management.
Requirements
- MBA or advanced degree in a business, finance, or life sciences field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development , strategy, or corporate venturing within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Proven track record of successfully closing significant deals (e.g., licensing, M&A, strategic partnerships).
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market, R&D processes, and financial modeling.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
