Our client seeks a highly accomplished Principal Recruitment Consultant to spearhead recruitment initiatives from their Newcastle upon Tyne office. This senior position requires a strategic thinker who can drive business development, manage key client accounts, and lead complex recruitment projects. You will play a crucial role in shaping the company's recruitment strategy, mentoring a team of consultants, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service. This role offers a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on recruitment, supported by a flexible hybrid working model .

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage recruitment campaigns for high-profile and complex client requirements.
Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to attract top-tier talent.
Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients.
Mentor and coach junior recruitment staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
Drive business development efforts to expand the client base and market share.
Oversee market analysis and reporting to identify recruitment trends and opportunities.

Requirements

Extensive experience (7+ years) in recruitment consultancy, with a strong focus on specialist markets.
Demonstrated success in business development and managing large, complex recruitment mandates.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and client management skills.
Experience with various recruitment methodologies and advanced sourcing tools.
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing office-based and remote work.
A strong understanding of the Newcastle upon Tyne and surrounding regional markets is advantageous.
