About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Process Improvement Engineer to join their dynamic team in Coventry, West Midlands, UK . This role is integral to optimizing our manufacturing and operational processes, focusing on enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving overall product quality. You will collaborate closely with production teams and management to identify areas for enhancement, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed analyses of current manufacturing and operational processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
- Design and manage pilot projects for new process implementations, monitoring their effectiveness and making necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with production staff and management to gather feedback and ensure successful adoption of process changes.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all improved processes, including SOPs and training materials.
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in process improvement, Lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma projects.
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis, process mapping, and root cause analysis techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
