About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative and analytical Process Improvement Engineer to join their forward-thinking manufacturing team, operating remotely and supporting operations near Cambridge . This role is focused on identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the overall quality of manufacturing processes. You will apply your expertise in lean methodologies and data analysis to streamline operations, develop new procedures, and implement best practices across the organization. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, waste, and areas for improvement.
- Design, develop, and implement new processes and methodologies, such as lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Lead cross-functional teams in process improvement projects, ensuring timely and successful implementation.
- Collect and analyze data related to process performance, producing reports and recommendations for management.
- Develop and deliver training on new processes and best practices to relevant personnel.
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented changes and make adjustments as necessary to ensure sustained improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in process improvement or continuous improvement roles, preferably within manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools and simulation software.
