About the Role
Our client, a forward-thinking chemical manufacturer dedicated to operational excellence, is looking for an experienced Process Improvement Engineer to join their fully remote global team, based in the Oxford area. This role is central to driving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing the overall performance of manufacturing processes worldwide. You will analyze existing operations, identify areas for optimization, and implement data-driven solutions, collaborating with site teams and leadership remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance process yield, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
- Utilize data analytics and statistical tools to monitor process performance and measure the impact of improvements.
- Collaborate with plant engineers and operations teams to champion and facilitate the adoption of best practices.
- Lead cross-functional teams in Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects.
- Prepare business cases for improvement projects, quantifying potential benefits and ROI.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering , Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in process improvement, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma roles within the chemical or manufacturing industry.
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools.
- Proven ability to lead change initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
