Our client is seeking a proactive Process Optimisation Engineer to enhance the efficiency and performance of their chemical manufacturing operations in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire . The position adopts a hybrid working model, allowing for a blend of on-site analysis and remote data interpretation or reporting. You will leverage advanced analytical techniques and process knowledge to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze process data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement in chemical manufacturing.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize process parameters, improve product quality, and increase throughput.
- Conduct feasibility studies for new process technologies and upgrades, evaluating their potential impact.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and R&D teams to implement process changes and monitor their effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and performance metrics.
- Utilize statistical analysis tools and process modeling software to support optimisation efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in process engineering, with a focus on optimisation and continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with process data analysis and statistical tools.
- Proficiency in process simulation software is desirable.
- Understanding of chemical manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills for a hybrid work environment.
