Procurement Specialist - Indirect Categories

About the Role

Our client is recruiting a proactive Procurement Specialist with a focus on indirect categories to join their team in Southampton . This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process for non-product related goods and services, such as IT, HR, facilities, and professional services. You will play a key role in negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and driving value for money across these diverse spend areas. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial acumen and excellent stakeholder management skills to ensure alignment with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the sourcing and procurement of indirect goods and services, including IT, HR, and facilities.
• Conduct supplier negotiations to achieve cost savings, improve service levels, and manage risk.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts, ensuring compliance and favourable terms.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify new opportunities and potential risks.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all transactions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in procurement , with a specialization in indirect categories.
• Demonstrated success in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
• Strong understanding of procurement best practices and commercial agreements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Based in or willing to commute to Southampton for this office-based role.
