About the Role

Our client is seeking a specialized Procurement Specialist with a focus on IT and Technology procurement to join their team in Reading . This role is crucial for managing the acquisition of hardware, software, and technology services, ensuring best value and strategic alignment with the company's technology roadmap. You will engage with IT stakeholders to understand requirements, conduct market analysis, and negotiate complex contracts with technology vendors. This position offers a dynamic blend of strategic sourcing and collaborative engagement, supported by a flexible hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to contribute effectively from both the office and a remote location.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the sourcing and procurement of IT hardware, software, cloud services, and related technologies.
• Develop and execute category strategies for IT procurement, focusing on cost savings, innovation, and risk mitigation.
• Negotiate complex contracts with technology vendors, ensuring favourable terms and conditions.
• Collaborate closely with the IT department and business units to define requirements and specifications.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
• Stay abreast of emerging technology trends and market dynamics to inform procurement strategies.

Requirements

• Proven experience in IT procurement or sourcing, with a deep understanding of technology markets.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing complex technology contracts.
• Excellent understanding of IT hardware, software licensing, and IT services procurement.
• Ability to build strong relationships with both technical stakeholders and external vendors.
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems .
• Experience with a hybrid working model is preferred.
