About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled Production Process Engineer to join their state-of-the-art pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Reading . This role focuses on ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and compliance of production processes. You will be involved in troubleshooting, continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting the scale-up of new drug manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to maintaining the highest standards of quality and productivity in a highly regulated environment within Berkshire .
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize and troubleshoot pharmaceutical manufacturing processes to maximize yield and minimize downtime.
- Support process validation activities and ensure compliance with cGMP guidelines.
- Implement continuous improvement projects using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Collaborate with R&D and Quality Assurance teams on process development and technology transfer.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including batch records and SOPs.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and operators on process operations and best practices.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
- Proven experience in process engineering within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of cGMP regulations and validation principles.
- Experience with process scale-up, technology transfer, and troubleshooting manufacturing issues.
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
