About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Engineer to enhance their pharmaceutical manufacturing operations in Reading . This vital role involves optimizing existing manufacturing processes and developing new ones to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with stringent industry standards. You will play a key part in troubleshooting production issues, implementing process improvements, and ensuring the successful scale-up of new products. The hybrid nature of this role allows for essential on-site process monitoring and engineering work, complemented by remote capabilities for data analysis, documentation, and strategic planning, ensuring maximum operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, yield, and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead process validation activities and ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new and existing manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot process deviations and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs).
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Production teams to ensure seamless product lifecycle management.
Requirements
- BEng or MEng in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in process engineering within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Strong understanding of GMP, validation principles, and regulatory affairs.
- Proficiency in process simulation and data analysis software.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
