Programme Officer (Maternity Cover)
- Kent

Job Description
Every child deserves the chance to learn to swim. At Level Water, we're making that possible, and we're looking for someone to help us do it even better.
We're a national charity making swimming accessible to disabled children. We subsidise adapted lessons, support teachers and work with swimming pools across the UK to help children build confidence, independence and a lifelong love of the water.
We've built a programme that works, supporting thousands of families and developing strong partnerships across the swimming industry.
Now we're focused on making it even better. Improving how we support families, strengthening our partnerships and building smarter, more efficient ways of working.
The opportunity
We're looking for a Programme Officer to join our small, ambitious team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract.
This isn't just an administration role. You'll be at the heart of our swimming programme, connecting families, swimming pools and colleagues to help children access the opportunities they deserve.
You'll manage relationships with our swimming pool partners, coordinate referrals and bookings, support families and keep our national programme running smoothly.
But we also want someone who can help us make things better, not just keep things ticking over.
You'll play an important part in improving our systems and processes, particularly our CRM, Zoho. That means helping us reduce manual administration, develop smarter workflows and improve how we communicate with families, especially those waiting for lessons.
You'll also contribute to projects that improve how we deliver our programmes, making swimming more accessible, inclusive and effective.
Who we're looking for
We care much more about how you work than where you've worked.
You don't need a background in swimming or previous charity experience. What matters is that you're organised, proactive, great with people and motivated to make a difference.
You'll be someone who:
-
Builds positive relationships and communicates with warmth, empathy and confidence.
-
Takes ownership, manages competing priorities and pays attention to detail.
-
Enjoys solving problems and finding better ways of working.
-
Is confident with technology and curious about improving digital systems.
-
Works independently while contributing positively to a small, collaborative team.
-
Cares about inclusion and making a meaningful difference.
Experience with CRM systems such as Zoho or Salesforce, process improvement, automation or data reporting would be a real advantage.
But you don't need to tick every box. We're just as interested in your approach, willingness to learn and the ideas you'll bring.
Want to know more?
We've given you a flavour of the opportunity, but there's plenty more to it!

Why Level Water?
We're a small charity with big ambitions, and we believe how we work matters just as much as what we achieve.
Our values are Bold, Driven, Personal and Joyful. We challenge assumptions, take pride in our work, care deeply about people and believe swimming should be a positive, empowering experience for every child.
You'll have the opportunity to take ownership, bring your ideas to the table and help shape improvements that benefit families across the UK.
Behind every referral, swimming lesson and system improvement is something much more important: a child experiencing the freedom, confidence and joy of being in the water.
If you love working with people, enjoy making things work better and want to see the difference your work makes, we'd love to hear from you.
