Project Chemical Engineer

About the Role

Our client, a specialist in chemical process technology, is seeking a proactive Project Chemical Engineer to join their expanding team in Norwich, Norfolk . This role will involve managing and executing chemical process engineering projects from conception through to completion. You will be responsible for technical design, project planning, cost estimation, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical aspects of chemical process projects, from feasibility studies to detailed design and implementation.
• Develop process designs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and operating procedures.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of experience in project engineering within the chemical or process industries.
• Proven experience in managing chemical engineering projects through their lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of process safety, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
