About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Project Chemical Engineer to manage and deliver key engineering projects from conception through to completion in Plymouth . This role involves overseeing all technical aspects of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. You will coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders, playing a vital role in the company's growth and infrastructure development. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to lead challenging projects in a significant industrial hub.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of chemical engineering projects.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines, ensuring adherence to objectives.
- Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Liaise with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project progression.
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Proven experience in project management, ideally within the chemical or process industry.
- Strong understanding of project lifecycles, risk management, and contract administration.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in the Plymouth area.
- Proficiency in project management software.
