Project Manager (Utilities) - London £50,000 - £65,000 P.a (DOE) Hybrid working Annual tax free bonus
Our client is a well established Utilities consultancy who support developers, landowners, and investors in navigating the complexities of utility infrastructure across the full project lifecycle. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Project Manager to join our team and support the delivery of utility coordination and procurement strategies on a range of development projects.
Key Responsibilities
✓ Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of utility infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company objectives. ✓ Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, schedule, and risk assessments. ✓ Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless execution of projects. ✓ Manage stakeholder expectations by providing clear communication on project milestones, risks, and deliverables. ✓ Monitor project performance using appropriate tools, metrics, and methodologies. ✓ Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards. ✓ Oversee procurement processes, including contractor selection and contract management. ✓ Identify and mitigate project risks and issues to prevent disruptions. ✓ Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior project managers and project teams. ✓ Report on project progress to senior management and key stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in project management within the utilities industry (electric, gas, water, or renewable energy).
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, and resources for multi-million-dollar projects.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar tools).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in project coordination or a similar role.
