About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and politically astute Public Affairs Advisor to join their growing team in Glasgow . This role is essential for navigating the complex landscape of government relations, policy advocacy, and stakeholder engagement. You will be responsible for monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, advising on policy implications, and building relationships with key governmental bodies and influencers. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the political environment, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to craft persuasive arguments. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze relevant political, legislative, and regulatory developments affecting the organization.
• Develop and implement strategies to engage effectively with government officials, policymakers, and industry stakeholders.
• Prepare policy briefings, position papers, and advocacy materials for internal and external audiences.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the public sector.
• Represent the organization in relevant forums, working groups, and consultations.
• Advise senior management on public affairs issues and potential risks or opportunities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in public affairs, government relations, policy analysis, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of the UK political and legislative processes.
• Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• A degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, Economics, or a relevant discipline.
