About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead their quality control and assurance efforts within their industrial manufacturing facility in Sunderland . This crucial role ensures that all products meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements before they reach the customer. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company's quality management system (QMS ), leading the QA team, and driving a culture of quality consciousness throughout the organization. The position utilizes a hybrid model, requiring on-site presence for critical inspections and team oversight, complemented by remote management of documentation and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) in line with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Lead and manage the Quality Assurance team, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Oversee all quality control activities, including raw material inspection, in-process checks, and final product testing.
- Conduct internal audits, analyze quality data, and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA ).
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and R&D teams to address quality issues and improve product design and manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with all national and international quality regulations and customer specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within an industrial manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing ISO 9001 certified QMS.
- Strong understanding of quality tools and methodologies, such as Six Sigma, SPC , and FMEA.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site responsibilities with remote tasks.
