Real Estate Valuer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Real Estate Valuer to join their established practice in Edinburgh . This role involves providing accurate and reliable property valuations for a wide range of purposes, including mortgage lending, asset management, and dispute resolution. You will conduct detailed property inspections, research market data, and apply appropriate valuation methodologies to produce comprehensive valuation reports. The successful candidate will be a key player in delivering professional services to a diverse client base, working full-time from our central office and undertaking site visits across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial properties to assess their condition and value.
• Gather and analyze market data, including comparable sales, rental rates, and economic trends.
• Apply various valuation techniques, such as the comparative method, income capitalization, and cost approach.
• Prepare detailed and compliant valuation reports for a variety of clients and purposes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of valuation standards, legislation, and market practices in the Scottish property market.
• Liaise with clients, lenders, legal professionals, and other stakeholders to discuss valuation findings.

Requirements

• Full membership of a recognized professional body such as RICS (MRICS) or IRRV.
• Proven experience as a Real Estate Valuer or Surveyor with a strong portfolio of valuation work.
• In-depth knowledge of valuation methodologies and the Scottish property market.
• Excellent report writing skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for property inspections is essential.
