About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Remote 5G Network Specialist to drive the development and optimization of their next-generation mobile network infrastructure. Operating entirely remotely, you will leverage your expertise in 5G technologies to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex network configurations. This role is crucial for ensuring the high performance, reliability, and scalability of our 5G services, supporting strategic initiatives that will shape the future of telecommunications for our clients across the UK . Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain 5G core network elements, including UPF, AMF, SMF, and NRF.
• Perform detailed network analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and faults.
• Develop strategies for network capacity planning, optimization, and evolution.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to integrate new technologies and ensure interoperability.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for network designs, configurations, and procedures.
• Stay current with 5G standards, industry trends, and emerging technologies, providing expert recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in mobile network engineering, with a specific focus on 5G technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of 5G NR , core network functions, and associated protocols.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMWare, KVM) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in network simulation and performance analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a self-motivated approach to working independently in a remote setting.
