About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Remote Architectural Designer to join their forward-thinking practice, based remotely but with strong links to Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial in developing creative design concepts and producing high-quality visualisations and technical documentation for a diverse portfolio of projects. You will work collaboratively with a distributed team of architects, designers, and consultants, contributing to projects from inception through to completion, all managed through advanced digital collaboration tools. This is a fully remote position, ideal for an individual who thrives in a flexible working environment and possesses excellent self-management skills, contributing to a modern, digitally-enabled architectural workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop innovative architectural design concepts and presentations for client review.
• Create detailed architectural drawings, renderings, and 3D models using advanced design software.
• Collaborate effectively with remote colleagues and external stakeholders through digital platforms.
• Research and specify materials, finishes, and building systems appropriate for project requirements.
• Ensure design solutions meet regulatory requirements and client objectives, maintaining a high standard of design quality.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends in architectural design, technology, and sustainability.

Requirements

• A degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrable experience in architectural design, with a strong portfolio showcasing design talent and technical proficiency.
• Expertise in industry-standard design software such as Revit , AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering programs (e.g., V-Ray, Lumion).
• Excellent visual communication skills, with the ability to produce compelling 3D models and high-quality renderings.
• Strong understanding of architectural principles, building codes, and construction methodologies.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage project timelines effectively in a remote setting.
