About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a talented Remote Automation Engineer to enhance their manufacturing processes and contribute to their innovative projects, serving clients associated with Wolverhampton . This role focuses on designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining automated control systems that improve efficiency, quality, and safety. As a remote employee, you will collaborate with on-site teams and clients globally, utilizing your expertise in PLC programming, HMI development, and robotics. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, adept at problem-solving, and committed to driving technological advancements in automation from their home office.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs ) for various industrial automation applications.
- Develop Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs ) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
- Implement and troubleshoot robotic systems and automated machinery.
- Conduct system testing, commissioning, and validation to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide remote technical support and training to clients and internal teams.
- Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for automation improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering.
- Proficiency in programming major PLC brands (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
- Experience with HMI/SCADA software development and integration.
- Knowledge of industrial networking protocols (e.g., Profinet, EtherNet/IP).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for remote problem-solving.
