About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough research into current and proposed childcare legislation and policy frameworks.
• Analyse the impact of policy changes on childcare providers and families, offering expert recommendations.
• Draft policy briefs, consultation responses, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Liaise with government bodies, charities, and sector organisations to gather intelligence and advocate for policy improvements.
• Provide expert advice and support to internal teams on policy matters and compliance issues.
• Monitor trends and developments in the childcare sector to inform policy recommendations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in policy analysis, development, or advisory roles, preferably within the childcare or education sector.
• A strong understanding of UK childcare law, regulations, and government policy-making processes.
• Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating policy ideas clearly.
• Proficiency in remote working tools and a self-motivated approach to managing a remote workload.
