About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and proactive Remote Childcare Policy Advisor to contribute to the shaping of childcare standards and regulations from their home office, supporting their operations based in Cardiff . This critical role involves researching, analysing, and advising on national and regional policies affecting early years provision and childcare services. You will play a key part in ensuring compliance, advocating for best practices, and contributing to the development of accessible, high-quality childcare across the UK. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research into current and proposed childcare legislation and policy frameworks.
- Analyse the impact of policy changes on childcare providers and families, offering expert recommendations.
- Draft policy briefs, consultation responses, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Liaise with government bodies, charities, and sector organisations to gather intelligence and advocate for policy improvements.
- Provide expert advice and support to internal teams on policy matters and compliance issues.
- Monitor trends and developments in the childcare sector to inform policy recommendations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in policy analysis, development, or advisory roles, preferably within the childcare or education sector.
- A strong understanding of UK childcare law, regulations, and government policy-making processes.
- Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating policy ideas clearly.
- Proficiency in remote working tools and a self-motivated approach to managing a remote workload.
- Experience working with stakeholders at various levels, including government officials.
