About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Remote Childminder Assistant to support their network of childminders and families from a distance, based in Newcastle upon Tyne . In this crucial role, you will be instrumental in providing administrative, advisory, and operational support remotely, ensuring that childminders have the resources and guidance they need to offer exceptional care. You will act as a key point of contact, assisting with queries, onboarding new childminders, and contributing to the smooth running of their childcare services, all from a remote working setup. This position is ideal for an organised and proactive individual with a background in childcare administration or support, who thrives in an independent, home-based work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote administrative support to a portfolio of registered childminders, assisting with paperwork, compliance checks, and general inquiries.
- Conduct virtual check-ins and support sessions with childminders to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
- Assist in the onboarding process for new childminders, guiding them through registration, training, and setting up their services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of childminder activity, training, and compliance using the company's database systems.
- Respond promptly to email and telephone inquiries from childminders, parents, and other stakeholders, offering clear and helpful advice.
- Contribute to the development of resources and guidance materials for childminders, ensuring they are accessible and relevant to current best practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in administration, preferably within the childcare or education sector.
- Strong understanding of childcare regulations and best practices, particularly for childminding.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with database management.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a friendly and professional telephone manner.
- Ability to work independently, proactively identify needs, and problem-solve effectively in a remote setting.
