Key Responsibilities
- Undertake structural analysis and design for a range of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications using relevant design software.
- Liaise with clients, architects, and other consultants to ensure design intent is met and integrated effectively.
- Ensure designs comply with current UK building regulations, Eurocodes, and relevant industry standards.
- Provide technical support during the construction phase, responding to site queries remotely.
- Conduct site visits as required, adhering to remote work travel protocols.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in structural design, with a portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structural Designer) and CAD software.
- Thorough understanding of concrete, steel, and timber design principles and UK building codes.
- Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to manage workload independently and meet project deadlines effectively.
