About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Remote Cloud Security Engineer to ensure the security and integrity of their cloud infrastructure. This fully remote role involves designing, implementing, and managing security controls across their cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, or GCP. You will be responsible for protecting cloud-based assets, automating security processes, and responding to cloud-specific security threats. This is a fantastic opportunity for a cloud security expert to contribute to a secure and scalable cloud architecture from anywhere, working with a forward-thinking team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage security solutions for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Develop and automate security configurations, policies, and compliance checks in the cloud.
- Monitor cloud environments for security threats and incidents, performing timely investigations and response.
- Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) controls in the cloud.
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to ensure security is integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Stay current with cloud security best practices, emerging threats, and new cloud security technologies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cloud Security Engineer or in a similar cloud security role.
- In-depth knowledge of security best practices for major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with cloud security tools, IAM, network security groups, and encryption.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
- Understanding of container security and serverless security concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, especially in a remote setting.
