About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Remote Data Privacy Solicitor to join their progressive legal department. This role is essential for ensuring the company's comprehensive compliance with evolving data protection regulations, including GDPR and UK GDPR. You will be responsible for developing robust privacy frameworks, advising on complex data processing activities, and managing international data transfers. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on data protection and privacy laws across various jurisdictions.
• Develop and implement comprehensive data privacy policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Conduct and review Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for new projects and technologies.
• Manage and respond to Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and other privacy-related inquiries.
• Advise on international data transfers and ensure compliance with cross-border data flow requirements.
• Assist in the management of data breaches, including investigation, mitigation, and regulatory notification.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 6 years' dedicated experience in data protection and privacy law.
• Deep understanding of GDPR, UK GDPR, and related privacy regulations.
• Proven experience in advising on complex data processing operations, consent management, and data subject rights.
• Exceptional analytical, drafting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with emerging privacy technologies and trends is a plus.
