About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled Remote Data Protection Lawyer to join their expanding team. This position is crucial for advising businesses on data privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR and related legislation. You will provide strategic guidance, conduct audits, and assist with compliance frameworks, all within a fully remote working environment. This role offers the unique advantage of working from anywhere in the UK, supported by a firm that champions flexible working and utilises advanced digital tools, whilst being conceptually linked to our operations in Reading , Berkshire.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on data protection and privacy matters, including GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant regulations.
• Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures for clients.
• Conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and privacy audits.
• Advise on data breach incidents and assist with notification procedures.
• Deliver training sessions on data protection compliance to client staff.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with significant experience in data protection and privacy law.
• In-depth knowledge of GDPR and other international data privacy frameworks.
• Experience in advising clients on data processing agreements and international data transfers.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and client-facing skills tailored for remote engagement.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and manage complex compliance projects.
