About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and results-driven Remote Delivery Operations Manager to oversee their expanding delivery network. Based remotely, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of all delivery operations across the UK, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and exceptional service quality. This is a pivotal role requiring strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to manage a dispersed team effectively from your home office, significantly impacting the company's ability to meet customer demands from Cardiff .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for delivery operations to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage, mentor, and motivate a remote team of drivers and dispatchers, setting clear performance objectives.
• Utilize data analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times, fuel consumption, and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee fleet maintenance, compliance, and safety protocols across the entire operational area.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure seamless delivery experiences.
• Identify and implement innovative solutions to address logistical challenges and improve overall service delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in delivery operations management or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in managing remote teams and geographically dispersed operations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive data-informed decisions.
• Proficiency in logistics software, route optimization tools, and performance tracking systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in the transport industry , particularly with last-mile delivery, is highly desirable.
