Remote Dispatch Officer

About the Role

Our client seeks a vigilant and responsive Remote Dispatch Officer to manage and coordinate the deployment of our delivery fleet. Operating remotely, you will be the central point of contact for drivers, ensuring efficient communication and rapid problem-solving to maintain operational flow. This role requires exceptional multitasking abilities, calm under pressure, and a strong understanding of logistics coordination. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our delivery services operate seamlessly, meeting customer demands and company objectives through effective remote oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time vehicle locations and driver status using dispatch software.
• Assign and dispatch drivers to delivery routes, considering efficiency, urgency, and driver availability.
• Communicate effectively with drivers via phone, radio, or messaging systems to provide updates and instructions.
• Respond promptly to and resolve any issues that arise during deliveries, such as delays or vehicle problems.
• Maintain accurate logs of dispatched vehicles, delivery times, and any incidents.
• Coordinate with customer service and other departments to ensure seamless delivery operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in dispatching , logistics coordination, or a similar role.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote , fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with dispatch software and communication technologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, sound decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
