Remote Energy Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Energy Project Manager to lead and oversee a portfolio of energy-related projects from inception to completion, all within a fully remote capacity. This role is integral to the successful delivery of initiatives in areas such as renewable energy development, grid infrastructure upgrades, and energy efficiency programs. You will be responsible for project planning, resource allocation, budget management, and stakeholder communication, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a virtual team environment and possesses exceptional leadership and organizational skills to drive project success from afar.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and closing of diverse energy projects , ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Manage project risks, identify potential issues, and implement mitigation strategies effectively.
• Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams (engineering, finance, legal) and external stakeholders, vendors, and contractors.
• Oversee project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial objectives are met.
• Communicate project progress, status, and key decisions to stakeholders through regular reporting and meetings in a remote setting .

Requirements

• Proven track record as a Project Manager , with significant experience managing projects within the energy sector.
• Demonstrated experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools.
• Strong understanding of project lifecycles, risk management, and stakeholder management principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage remote teams effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; PMP certification is a plus.
