Remote Exploration Geologist - Data Analysis

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a talented Remote Exploration Geologist specializing in data analysis to join their globally distributed team. This position offers the unique opportunity to work entirely remotely, contributing to high-impact mineral exploration projects from anywhere. You will be responsible for the interpretation of vast geological and geophysical datasets, the development of predictive models for mineralization, and the strategic guidance of exploration campaigns based on robust data-driven insights. This role requires a strong analytical mind, exceptional data visualization skills, and a deep understanding of geological principles applied to resource discovery. You will collaborate with field geologists and data scientists to unlock the potential of new mineral deposits.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret large volumes of geological, geochemical, and geophysical data.
• Develop and refine 3D geological models and resource estimations using advanced software.
• Identify and prioritize exploration targets based on integrated data analysis and predictive modeling.
• Collaborate virtually with field exploration teams to provide data-driven guidance and feedback.
• Prepare comprehensive geological reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and management.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in geological data analysis techniques and software tools.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Geology, Geophysics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in mineral exploration, with a significant focus on data interpretation and modeling.
• Expertise in geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Vulcan, ArcGIS) and GIS applications.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis and visualization is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of various deposit types and exploration methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly in a remote work setting.
