Remote Financial Controller

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Financial Controller to lead their finance function from a fully remote position, overseeing operations across Scotland and the wider UK. This senior role is responsible for all aspects of financial management, including accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning. You will manage a remote team, ensuring the delivery of accurate financial information and robust controls. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Manage the preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with extensive experience in financial control and management.
• Proven leadership experience, managing finance teams, preferably in a remote setting.
• Strong understanding of UK financial regulations and accounting standards (UK GAAP/IFRS).
• Expertise in financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making.
