About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and analytical Remote Fleet Operations Specialist to join their dynamic team, supporting their national transport operations remotely from Birmingham . This role focuses on the strategic management and optimisation of their fleet, ensuring maximum efficiency, safety, and compliance across all operations. You will be responsible for monitoring fleet performance, analysing data to identify trends, and implementing solutions to improve operational workflows and reduce costs, all while working from the comfort of your home office. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the daily performance of the company's national fleet using fleet management software and telematics data.
- Analyse operational data to identify inefficiencies, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement in routing and scheduling.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with UK transport regulations and safety standards.
- Liaise with drivers, depot managers, and maintenance providers to resolve operational issues and ensure smooth service delivery.
- Generate regular reports on fleet utilisation, fuel efficiency, driver performance, and maintenance schedules for senior management.
- Assist in the management of fleet assets, including acquisition, disposal, and maintenance planning.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fleet operations , logistics coordination, or a similar transport management role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Proficiency in using fleet management software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage relationships remotely.
- Familiarity with UK road transport legislation and compliance requirements.
