Remote Food Safety Compliance Officer - Catering

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and diligent Remote Food Safety Compliance Officer to ensure the highest standards of health and safety across all their catering operations. Working from a home-based office, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive food safety policies and procedures. This role requires a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and a proactive approach to risk management. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust food safety management systems (e.g., HACCP).
• Conduct remote audits and risk assessments of catering processes, suppliers, and facilities.
• Ensure compliance with all national and local food safety legislation and standards.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on food safety best practices.
• Investigate any food safety incidents or customer complaints, implementing corrective actions.
• Stay up-to-date with evolving food safety regulations and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience in food safety, quality assurance, or a related role within the food industry.
• In-depth knowledge of HACCP principles and other food safety management systems.
• Relevant qualifications in food safety or a related field (e.g., CIEH, NEBOSH).
• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
