Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 1 HGV vehicle safely and efficiently for assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues or required maintenance promptly.
• Utilize GPS navigation and route planning tools to optimize delivery schedules and ensure timely arrivals.
• Maintain accurate records of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery details via an electronic logging device (ELD).
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams regarding delivery status, delays, or any operational challenges.
• Ensure goods are loaded, secured, and unloaded correctly to prevent damage and ensure safety.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 license (Category C+E).
• Up-to-date Driver CPC qualification and a valid digital tachograph card.
• A minimum of (X years) proven experience as a Class 1 HGV driver .
• Clean driving record with no major endorsements.
• Strong knowledge of UK road networks and regulations.
• Ability to manage work independently and efficiently in a remote capacity.
