About the Role
Our client is looking for a motivated and experienced Remote HR Advisor to join their team, providing comprehensive HR support across the business with a focus on remote operations. This role is critical in offering guidance to employees and line managers, managing HR queries, and ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures in a distributed workforce environment. You will play a key part in maintaining employee engagement and fostering a positive culture, regardless of physical location, supporting teams in areas such as Portsmouth and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert HR advice and support to employees and managers via various communication channels, including phone, email, and video conferencing.
- Manage employee relations issues, conducting investigations and offering solutions in line with company policy and UK employment law.
- Support the recruitment and onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures relevant to a remote workforce.
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the employee experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HR Advisor or in a similar HR generalist capacity.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices, particularly concerning remote working.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage workload effectively and independently in a remote work setting.
- Proficiency in HRIS and standard office software.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent is highly desirable.
