About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Remote Hygiene Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to stringent hygiene and sanitation regulations across all operational sites. Working exclusively from home, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and auditing compliance programs, providing expert guidance on best practices, and ensuring that all activities meet legal and company standards. This role requires a thorough understanding of hygiene protocols, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and enforce standards remotely. You will play a critical role in safeguarding public health and maintaining our client's reputation for excellence in cleanliness and safety, all within a flexible, remote-first working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and update hygiene and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Conduct remote audits and inspections to assess compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Provide expert advice and training to staff on hygiene best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate incidents and non-compliance issues, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain comprehensive records of compliance activities, training, and audit findings.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in hygiene management , public health, or a related field, with a strong focus on compliance.
• Demonstrated success in auditing and enforcing health and safety standards.
• Excellent understanding of relevant UK legislation and industry best practices for cleaning and sanitation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, suitable for remote stakeholder engagement.
• Proficiency in using digital tools for documentation, reporting, and communication.
