About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Remote Industrial Automation Engineer to join their global operations team, with this role fully supporting remote work. You will be instrumental in the design, development, and implementation of automated control systems for manufacturing processes worldwide. This position demands a proactive engineer who can manage complex projects from conception to commissioning, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to enhance efficiency, reliability, and safety. Key Responsibilities
- Design, program, and commission industrial automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
- Develop technical specifications, control narratives, and functional design documents for automation projects.
- Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for existing automated systems across multiple sites.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, mechanical engineers, and clients, to ensure project success.
- Stay abreast of new automation technologies and industry trends, recommending and integrating suitable solutions.
- Develop and maintain control system documentation , including electrical schematics and P&IDs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in industrial automation design and implementation, with expertise in multiple PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell).
- Strong understanding of HMI/SCADA software, industrial networking, and data acquisition systems.
- Experience with robotics integration and motion control is highly desirable.
- Excellent remote collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
