About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Remote Industrial Automation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated systems for their global operations. This role operates entirely remotely, focusing on enhancing manufacturing efficiency and productivity through cutting-edge automation technologies. You will be responsible for developing automation strategies, programming control systems, and collaborating virtually with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance. Key Responsibilities
- Design, program, and commission automated systems using PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA software.
- Develop and implement innovative automation solutions to improve manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for automated equipment and systems.
- Collaborate virtually with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to define automation requirements and project scope.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including P&IDs, electrical schematics, and programming code.
- Stay current with advancements in robotics, AI, and industrial IoT to propose and implement cutting-edge solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial automation engineering , with a strong focus on PLC programming and system integration.
- Proficiency with major PLC brands (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) and HMI/SCADA platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fully remote capacity, managing tasks and collaborating digitally.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to automated systems.
- Excellent communication skills for virtual collaboration with diverse teams.
