Remote Industrial Engineer - Process Design

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and self-motivated Remote Industrial Engineer specializing in Process Design to join their globally distributed team. This role is pivotal in analyzing, designing, and optimizing manufacturing and operational processes from a distance, utilizing advanced modeling and simulation tools. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams located worldwide to develop innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall productivity. Key Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and optimize industrial and manufacturing processes using sophisticated modeling and simulation techniques.
• Develop and implement process improvements focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and waste minimization for remote operations supporting the Nottingham region's client base.
• Create detailed process documentation, including P&IDs, SOPs, and workflow diagrams.
• Collaborate effectively with global engineering, production, and management teams via virtual communication tools.
• Conduct data analysis to identify performance gaps and propose data-driven solutions for process enhancement.
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in industrial engineering and process optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in industrial engineering , with a strong emphasis on process design and optimization.
• Proven experience with process simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic, FlexSim).
• Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and their application in process design.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience working in a remote or distributed team setting.
