Remote IT Infrastructure Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote IT Infrastructure Technician to join their fully distributed team. This position plays a critical role in managing, maintaining, and improving the company's IT infrastructure, supporting a growing number of remote employees. You will be instrumental in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our client's digital environment, troubleshooting issues, and implementing upgrades from your home office. Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote support for network infrastructure, servers, and end-user devices.
• Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure high availability.
• Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software, including operating systems and virtualization platforms.
• Manage network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls, ensuring network security and connectivity.
• Develop and implement IT policies and procedures for remote workforce management and data security.
• Assist in the planning and execution of IT infrastructure upgrades and migrations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in an IT Infrastructure role, with a focus on remote support and management.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
• Experience with server administration (Windows Server, Linux) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues independently.
• Strong communication skills, essential for effective remote collaboration and client interaction, regardless of your location.
