About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Remote Legal Counsel with a focus on Technology and Intellectual Property (IP) law to join their fully remote legal department. You will work collaboratively with engineering, product development, and business teams from anywhere, ensuring that legal considerations are integrated into product lifecycles and strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IP strategies, including patent, trademark, and copyright protection.
• Draft, review, and negotiate technology-related agreements, such as software licenses, SaaS agreements, and development contracts.
• Advise on data privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance with relevant technology regulations.
• Manage IP disputes and infringement issues, including cease and desist letters and litigation support.
• Provide legal guidance on emerging technologies and digital transformation initiatives.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with significant experience in technology and IP law.
• Strong understanding of patent law, trademark law, copyright law, and licensing.
• Experience advising on data protection, software development, and SaaS agreements.
• Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and manage a remote caseload effectively, ideally with a UK presence.
