About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and organized Remote Logistics Coordinator to join their expanding team. This position offers the flexibility of working entirely from home, managing the coordination of shipments and supply chain activities from anywhere. You will be responsible for liaising with carriers, tracking shipments, maintaining records, and resolving logistical issues to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of goods. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent communication skills, adept at managing multiple priorities in a virtual environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the scheduling, booking, and tracking of inbound and outbound shipments across various modes of transport.
- Communicate proactively with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to manage logistics operations and resolve any transit issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, inventory, and delivery status in the company's logistics management system.
- Assist in resolving delivery discrepancies, damages, or delays, ensuring timely resolution.
- Prepare and analyze logistics reports, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders regarding shipment status and inquiries.
Requirements
- Previous experience in logistics coordination , supply chain support, or freight forwarding.
- Proficiency in using logistics software, TMS (Transport Management Systems), and standard office applications, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, vital for remote interaction.
- Self-motivated and disciplined, with the ability to work independently and productively from a home office.
- Familiarity with shipping documentation and procedures is advantageous.
