About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Remote Mining Environmental Scientist to join their dedicated environmental compliance team. This fully remote position allows you to contribute your expertise in environmental management and impact assessment for mining operations across various global locations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting sustainable practices within the mining industry. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAs) for mining projects, identifying potential risks and mitigation measures.
- Develop and implement environmental management plans (EMPs) tailored to specific mining operations.

- Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international environmental regulations.

Requirements
- Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in environmental management, with a focus on the mining sector .
- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations relevant to mining operations.
- Experience with environmental modeling and monitoring techniques.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
