Remote Network Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Remote Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust network infrastructures for their diverse clientele. This position operates entirely remotely, allowing you to contribute expert network solutions from anywhere. You will be responsible for ensuring network security, performance, and reliability, supporting critical business operations within the Installation & Maintenance sector. Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues, implementing solutions to ensure optimal uptime.
• Configure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN gateways.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including intrusion detection and prevention systems.
• Collaborate with IT teams to plan and execute network upgrades and expansions.
• Provide technical guidance and support for network-related projects and incidents.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong background in remote network management.
• Expertise in network protocols, routing (e.g., BGP, OSPF), switching, and network security.
• Hands-on experience with network hardware from major vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper) and network management tools.
• Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
