About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Remote Pharmaceutical Process Chemist to join their expanding operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, optimization, and scale-up of chemical synthesis routes for active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and intermediates, all managed from your remote work location in Bradford . You will play a critical role in ensuring efficient, safe, and cost-effective manufacturing processes that meet the highest industry standards. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize synthetic routes for APIs and key intermediates, focusing on yield, purity, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Perform process hazard analyses and implement measures to ensure safe operations at laboratory, pilot, and commercial scales.
- Investigate and troubleshoot process-related issues, implementing robust solutions to maintain product quality and consistency.
- Characterize raw materials, intermediates, and final APIs using analytical techniques such as NMR, MS, HPLC, and GC.
- Collaborate with analytical development and manufacturing teams to ensure successful technology transfer and process validation.
- Document all experimental work meticulously and prepare comprehensive process development reports for regulatory submissions.
Requirements
- PhD or Master's degree in Organic Chemistry, Process Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process chemistry within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong background in synthetic organic chemistry, reaction optimization, and scale-up principles.
- Experience with analytical techniques for chemical characterization and purity assessment.
- Familiarity with GMP guidelines and regulatory requirements for API manufacturing.
