About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Remote Pharmaceutical Process Development Engineer to join their innovative team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the UK. You will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for new pharmaceutical products, from early-stage development through to commercialization. This involves designing scalable processes, conducting validation studies, and ensuring compliance with rigorous regulatory standards. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in pharmaceutical manufacturing and process engineering, with a meticulous approach to problem-solving and a commitment to quality, contributing to a virtual team dedicated to advancing drug manufacturing technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize robust, scalable, and cost-effective manufacturing processes for pharmaceutical products.
- Design process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for new processes.
- Conduct process validation activities, including IQ, OQ, and PQ, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform process risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges encountered during process development and scale-up.
- Collaborate effectively with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing teams in a remote setting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering , Pharmaceutical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical process development and scale-up.
- Strong understanding of cGMP guidelines and regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Experience with process validation, technology transfer, and manufacturing operations.
- Proficiency in process simulation and design software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proven ability to work independently and collaboratively remotely.
