Remote Postdoctoral Researcher - Genomics

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze diverse genomic datasets, including whole-genome sequencing (WGS), whole-exome sequencing (WES), and RNA-sequencing data.
• Develop and implement computational methods for variant calling, annotation, and association studies.
• Collaborate with experimental teams to design genomic experiments and interpret results.
• Utilize cloud computing platforms and high-performance computing clusters for data analysis.
• Contribute to the writing of scientific manuscripts, grant proposals, and technical reports.
• Participate in regular virtual team meetings and scientific discussions to share progress and insights.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Genomics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genetics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in analyzing large-scale genomic datasets using standard bioinformatics tools and pipelines.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash).
• Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization techniques.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team setting.
