Remote Principal Scientist - Computational Chemistry

About the Role

You will work independently, collaborating virtually with multidisciplinary teams to design experiments, interpret data, and develop predictive models. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and apply state-of-the-art computational chemistry methods, including molecular modeling, simulations, and quantum mechanics.

• Collaborate with medicinal chemists and biologists to guide compound design and optimize properties.
• Develop predictive models for ADMET properties, reaction outcomes, and material characteristics.
• Analyze and interpret large datasets generated from computational studies and experiments.
• Communicate complex scientific findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences in a remote setting.

Requirements

• PhD in Computational Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, or a related field with a strong focus on computational methods.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in computational chemistry within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or materials science industries.
• Expertise in molecular modeling software packages (e.g., Schrodinger, MOE, AMBER) and quantum chemistry codes (e.g., Gaussian).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for scripting and data analysis.
• Proven ability to independently lead complex computational projects and mentor junior scientists.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective virtual teamwork.
